At Can Do South Yorkshire, we want you to get inspired. We want to empower you to take climate action, wherever and whenever you can, whether that’s in your home, school or university, workplace or community space.
We know that climate action brings people together. It can improve our individual and collective wellbeing and make a positive change across South Yorkshire and beyond.
You can help bring about systemic change by connecting with your community, by campaigning for climate action, by taking positive steps – and shouting about it.
Our local councils in Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield have declared climate emergencies, but there is still a lot of work to be done.
We need a cultural shift in our communities. We need more action from the government and local authorities. We need you to do the things that feel small, but make a real difference.
So, are you ready?
About
Our digital hub is all about providing accurate information about the positive changes and the steps we can take to help fight climate change. We want to provide you with up to date and useful information, tips and ideas.
We are also celebrating stories of what people in our region are doing, so if you’ve got anything to share then get in touch! No matter how big or small, your experiences could inspire others across South Yorkshire to make a difference too.
We’re not just online! We are putting on an exciting programme of public events and would love to see you in person, so find out what’s going on near you and come along.
Can Do South Yorkshire is a project funded by The National Lottery’s Community Fund. The project is run by South Yorkshire Climate Alliance (formerly Sheffield Climate Alliance) and partners across South Yorkshire.
